Guideline 2: Don’t buy based on brand name alone. As long as the digital photo frame has the features you are looking for and you have read your reviews for the frame you can do and get great deals on digital photo frames from just about any name.

Guideline 3: Stay away from resolution below 640 by 480 Pixels. If the digital photo frames resolution is below this it is too low to display details, so most of its images tend look boxy and granular. Consider only digital photo frames with a resolution of 640-by-480 or higher.

Guideline 4: Consider your aspect ratio. Digital photo frames normally come in two aspect ratios, 4:3 or 15:9. Most digital cameras capture photos in 4:3. A Digital photo frame with an aspect ratio of 4:3 will be the best fit for your photos. A 15:9 digital photo frame will have to crop the top and bottom of your photos to fit the image on the LCD screen.
